Europeana gives access to over 50 million digital cultural heritage items from over 4,000 galleries, libraries, archives, and museums from European countries. Their collections include many interesting topics, such as black history, art, photography, sports, colouring books, maps, natural history, myths and legends, and LGBTQ+ history. I thought it was a cool resource to share here!

I'd like to share two drabble sequences with you guys. :) You can read them at AO3 or, if you'd like to engage in a different way, over at my DW journal.

Title: Love Triumphant
Characters: Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, Cecco | Francesco Boneri
Rating, Warning: PG-13, m/m
Word count: 200
Notes: Written for [personal profile] liriaen's prompt. They wanted, "this story about Caravaggio who's in the last throes of finishing a really important commission, and time beckons, but there's this kid in his entourage who really distracts him... in all sorts of ways... what will win out, a timely finished commission or a wild romp through Rome's night life between Ponte Sisto and Campo de' Fiori?"

Cecco licks his lips. "You’re working too hard, Messer," he drawls.

Read it at my DW, or over at AO3.

Title: A Cost Etched in Every Heart
Characters: Albrecht Dürer the Younger, Hans Baldung Grien
Rating, Warning: Gen, m/m if you squint
Word count: 400
Notes: Written for [personal profile] ermingarden. Inspired by [archiveofourown.org profile] elektra121's wonderful Pirckheimer POV story A.D. 1504, where angsty!Pirckheimer wonders about Dürer's relationship with Baldung-- well, don't we all? ;) (You don't have to read that story to make sense of mine, hopefully.)

"You don't think I could use some decent soaking?" With a dramatic flourish he sniffs at his own armpits, making a face.

Read it at my DW, or over at AO3.

The Louvre put their entire collection online. I read about it in the Smithsonian Mag, but you can skip right to the collection by going here: https://collections.louvre.fr/en/album/1
