Just a head's up that the historium round up will be on hiatus for the summer!

Don't forget that despatches already exists for all your Age of Sail needs, and if you want to keep an eye on what's going on in the historically fannish world, you can always look at our reading list in the meantime: https://historium-mod.dreamwidth.org/read


Also, apologies for the delay in the next community challenge - all three of the mods had simultaneous health issues. However, I hope the next will be posted soon, and certainly I shall be running another in the autumn, whatever else happens. (And we are all still around! Please continue to use the comm as much as you wish.)

Oh, I think a lot of resort to using it for moaning about our various woes from time to time! I'm sorry to hear that's a problem for you, though. You'll have to, in turn, put up with me complaining about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, waffling about fandom etc. etc., so it ought to be fair. <3

And thanks re. the icon! I made it a while back - I did a lot altogether, and you're welcome to snag any you like for use.

heh, i'm afraid it might be a problem for the people who dare to subscribe to me ;) I feel a bit guilty about all the moaning, but at the same time, a personal journal feels like a safe space to do it, you know? I've used online journal sites for around 20 years, so it's my natural environment.

And oh, all of those icons are so pretty! The "your shininess is noted" one is especially delightful! Good job! :D

And I think we all use our journals slightly differently, but we are, after all, at liberty to ignore posts, or come back later, so it usually all works out as long as we meet somewhere.
