Definitely seconding this recommendation—I've just finished the series (and it's inspired me to start a re-read of the books) and it's great fun!

It was! A good re-imagining of the book, some very talented young actors (I thought the girl playing Gwendoline was especially good—she really has the whole 'twelve-year-old girl supervillain' thing down) and of course excellent use of the gorgeous Cornish scenery...

Yes, Gwendoline seemed to be having fun in exactly the right kind of way! I was impressed that they found a genuine rock pool swimming pool (although I think the towers in Malory Towers may have been CGI-ed onto something!)

just watched this series today. it really was good! a diverse cast and great acting (though the start was a bit clunky). hopefully there'll be a second series, and more of the characters' backgrounds can be explored.

Yes, and as there are six books, hopefully they will adapt #2 as well! (and the rest, if they keep this up).
