I've posted several history fandom-related things to my journal over the past couple of weeks, so I thought I would do a round-up post here in case they were of interest to others:
A review of The Favourite (2018). I finally saw The Favourite, and I loved and was fascinated by it. I highly recommend seeing it if you haven't already; if you have, come talk to me about it!
Reading Wednesday mini-reviews of two recently-published 18th century-related books: The Mermaid & Mrs. Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar, historical fiction set in 1780s England, and Tilar J. Mazzeo's biography of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton.
A Yuletide recs post. Five out of the six fandoms I list recs for are historical: The Awakening (2011), The Bedlam Stacks, Carol, Lord Peter Wimsey, and Lynes & Mathey.
And finally, the Yuletide treat I posted this year; Society of Gentlemen fic, Dominic/Silas, 2870 words.
