story_works is having a Comfort Challenge - "A multifandom and multimedia challenge that is all about comfort, hurt/comfort included" open for posting until May 31st.

Here at historium our current challenge is to pick up a new fandom from those promoted at the comm using the fandom promo tag. It's never too late to post promos/manifestos for your fandoms and we also have a lower-level option of the fandom promo post.

dick_or_treat - "a multi-fandom fanfic/fanart fest [open to May 31]. Participation is open to anyone, no sign-up required!"

littleblackdressex - "a ship-based multifandom exchange premised on creating fanworks for "Little Black Dress" characters, which is to say characters that "go" with anything." Open for nominations until May 15th; Sign-ups May 17th-24th.

justmarriedexchange - "a marriage-themed multifandom exchange for marriage tropes of all kinds" is open for nominations until May 12th; sign-ups May 15th-26th.

rule63exchange - "an exchange for fanfiction and fanart featuring genderswapped characters" opens nominations from May 11th-June 1st.

multifandomhorrorexchange - "A gift exchange in which participants create and receive fic or art focused on elements of horror." Nominations open until May 14th; sign-ups May 17th-31st.

unconventionalfanworkex - "an event focussed on content not usually seen in the exchange circuit, including (but not limited to) poetry, interactive fiction, podfic, vids, audio not!fic, meta, in-universe texts, and multimedia fanwork." Nominations open until 10th May; sign-ups 12th-23rd May.

Hi! Many thanks for this informative round-up! I'm new around here, and came via Impala_Chick; at her prompting I'm having my historical RPF manifesto, I mean, fandom promotion post, betaed so it can be posted here. Hopefully this week or next, if that's all right?

I also wondered if this community had a policy as to posting E-related content? Would it be all right to post this provided it's properly tagged with all appropriate AO3 warnings? (No issues at all if this is a non-explicit space, of course!)

Yes, e-rated content is fine as long as it's under a cut or via a link and tagged/appropriately warned for above the cut/link. (You can find our general guidelines in the comm sticky and on the profile, but I'm always happy to answer queries!)

It's cut fine, but if you might want to note in the Content warnings section in the post header that it's explicit (if it is) instead of N/A, especially since you were concerned about that, and that, in a cut post, is typically where you let any potential readers know what's under it.

Yeah, don’t worry, the manifesto has no explicit content. It’s entirely G rated, even, unless you count some discourse about whether they were in fact personal as well as political bedfellows? It also links to separately warned for mature rated fic.

I’m still working up to posting links to E rated fic on here ;)
