Periods/areas of interest: Very broad, just about ... everything in general? I love everything historical as long as it's focused on women, royalty, and/or a non-military setting. Okay, but more specifically I tend to focus on stuff from the eighteenth, nineteenth, and early twentieth centuries, and I love a focus on fashion and domestic settings. In non-fiction, I'm also into the Middle Ages, which is intriguingly weird, and I've tried to do some reading outside of English history - the Ottoman Empire, France, Spain, Russia. And I'm a fashion historian.

Historical Fandoms: I'm not actively in any historical fandoms right now (unless you count AskHistorians or my historical sewing), but I'm into Austen, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, early Downton Abbey, mid-twentieth-century musicals, and a lot of other things.

Got any more historical comms we've missed? Nope!

Any other comms/events/ideas you'd like to see here? I love fic exchanges (need deadlines to finish anything), would be nice to hold one sometime?

Historical sewing! I'd so much love to do it, except that I'm really not that good at any sort of sewing so it would be catastrophic. (I'm adequate at crochet, but I never finish any projects these days, so that doesn't help much either.) So I just look at historical fashion in pictures and fantasize about enormous hats.

Also, yay Austen and Strange & Norrell!
